6 things to do in London this New Year’s 2015 Eve

1. London Fireworks display

An institution in itself, the London Fireworks display sees hundreds of thousands of people taking to the streets every year – and it never disappoints. The celebrations continue until around 01:00 with a live DJ set. There are three types of tickets available:

North Area 1: Access to viewing areas between Westminster Bridge and Embankment Station
North Area 2: Access to viewing areas between Embankment and Temple Stations which are all accessed from the North side of London (the side opposite the London Eye)
South ticket: Access to viewing areas to the rear of the London Eye and on Westminster Bridge, accessed from the South side of London
Venue: Various viewing areas
Tickets: £10

2. Black Tie Party

If you’re in the mood for something a little more chilled, consider the Black Tie Party at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho. Enjoy a delicious four-course meal, coffee and truffles and a complimentary glass of champagne, with entertainment from swinging jazz legend, Ray Gelato, Georgie Fame and the Blue Flames and the Ronnie Scott All Stars.

Venue: Ronnie Scotts, 47 Frith Street, Soho
Tickets: £225 – £275

3. Ronnie’s Bar

If you’re less about the food and more about the boogie, you can choose to spend the night in Ronnie’s Bar upstairs instead. Tickets to the upstairs bar include prosecco on arrival and a tapas-style meal, as well as jazz, funk, soul, disco, boogie and house, delivered by top DJ’s including Joey Negro.

4. NYE at the Golden Mansion

This promises to be a glittering and unforgettable night. Two dance floors will be rocked by DJs Joffrey Bogart, Anthony Devz and Amin Sane. Live performances include Martin Rodrigo, fire dancer Natalie Mulkerrins and electric violinist Oktam – along with many more. There’ll also be a tarot reader, art exhibition and loads more to see and do. The dress code is gold (obviously).

Venue: Somewhere behind Notting Hill in NW – the exact location will be revealed to ticket holders 48 hours before the event.
Tickets: From £25

5. The Comedy Store

If you’d like to end the year laughing from your belly, head to The Comedy Store in Piccadilly Circus. Acts include MC Stephen Grant, Prince Abdi, Jarred Christmas, Romesh Ranganathan, Pete Johansson, The Noise Next Door and a special guest. Once the comedy show is over, the DJs will take over and make sure you dance your way into 2015.

Venue: The Comedy Store, 1a Oxendon Street, Soho
Tickets: £49 – £59

6. Covent Garden Cocktail Club

The Covent Garden Cocktail Club is transforming for New Year’s Eve – upstairs you’ll find a heavenly pop-up bar, and downstairs a devilish dance party. Book a table downstairs for £40 per person; tables of six to 12 guests get bubbles on arrival and a bottle of Craft Cocktail. “Heaven’s” doors open at 19:00, with a two-for-£10 cocktail special until 21:00. “Hell” opens at 21:00 and the last entry is at 22.30.

Venue: Covent Garden Cocktail Club
Tickets: Heaven – £40.00; Hell – £10.00
Whatever you decide, we hope you have a fantastic New Year’s Eve and a successful, action-packed 2015.
